A Dungeons and Dragons Tea Party

Well technically I was the only one having tea.

It's been a few years at least, but I've started a new Dungeons and Dragons Campaign with some friends. Let me introduce you to the group.

Beard and Glasses in the role of the DM. Without a doubt Beard and Glasses is one of the most unique people I've ever met. Hes managed to bring his enthusiasm of his various hobbies into the DandD world. Instead of sidetracking the storytelling he has incorporated extra information nicely and made things a little richer for our player characters. I'm calling him Beard and Glasses because he has a beard and glasses.

Xavier as Jimjam Joeb, the Tiefling Ranger. There are two things about Xavier you should know if your going to play with him. Firstly hes unapologetically a power gamer; in todays session he spent most of the time picking out the most optimal Magic arms and armor for his character.

Second his character only exists to slaughter the inhabitants of the Athas in brutal close combat. Say goodbye plot devices; sayonora vital NPC; character development? try another character.

Despite these hurdles Xaiver brings to the team; he is undoubtedly a veteran. Xaiver walks the walk and talks the talk. Even though hes still new to this latest edition his past experience in role-playing games makes him one of our technical best.

New Beard as Queequeg, the Shifter Seeker. New beard is our newest player of our group. He's played a lot of video games in the past, this will be the first time he really tackles the storytelling world. New Beard seems really excited, but a little overwhelmed at the same time. Despite this he still brings a lot of enthusiasm as well as asks some good questions when he plays. I'm looking forward to seeing how he fleshes out his character.

Mr. Mysterious as .........., the Dragonborn Warden. I've not meet this person yet so I can't really talk about him. Hes not joined our party officially, I've just been told to expect him soon. So I call him Mr. Mysterious.

Myself as Thaddeus, the Githzerai Monk. I really should change my name to Thelonius. All of my characters in 3.5 edition were all based around tough and solid defender types; so Thaddeus is a bit of a departure from what I'm use to.

In the last game I found myself on a few occasions stepping forward a herding this group of cats called an adventuring party. It's a different role than what I'm use to, but I'm looking forward to leading our group.

Thats a brief overview of our gaming group. All in all I couldn't ask for a better group of deranged maniacs to pillage dungeons with.

Path of the Warrior

A new Warhammer 40, 000 novel is coming out in July; and it's about the eldar!

There are few 40k books that are not about super human warriors, and even fewer about the enigmatic Eldar.

Check it out!
